The 2018 Royal Mint Valiant 10oz Silver Coin features on its reverse a fresh new twist on the classic “George & the Dragon” (a story of honour, courage and victory) design by renowned coin designer Etienne Milner.
The coins weight, fineness, and year date are also shown. Both sides of this coin feature a beautiful guilloche design in the background creating a stylish pattern and texture to the coin.
The obverse features the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
Each coin weighs 311.52g and is 999.9 Silver.
Minted by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, South Wales.
Finished to bullion standard.

This is the first coin by the Royal Mint to feature an incuse design; The beautifully detailed frosted finish makes this a brilliantly eye-catching coin and generally is priced to similar bullion weighted coins.
I Like this coin, however i am not certain about the field design which makes me wonder if this particular field obscures imperfections that would otherwise show up ?
Personally i don’t like this design. i don’t like this sort of finish in the fields of the coin.
